Manufacturing Mechanic

Job Title: Manufacturing Mechanic Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (Overtime as needed) Pay: Starting at $22.25/hour Location: Ormond Beach, FL Position Overview: We’re looking for a skilled Manufacturing Mechanic to handle machine setup, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. Responsible for production equipment running safely and efficiently, respond to urgent repair needs, and support improvements across the plant. Key Responsibilities: • Set up and start machines; check performance and fix issues • Perform regular preventive maintenance • Troubleshoot problems and find root causes • Replace, install, or repair machine parts • Read and follow work orders, manuals, and technical drawings • Keep records of maintenance and repairs • Work safely and ensure safety devices are working • Support process improvements and change management • Collaborate with team members and other departments Qualifications: • 2+ years of technical training or experience in a manufacturing/packaging environment • Hands-on experience with high-speed machinery • Basic PLC/control systems knowledge preferred • Familiar with connecting/disconnecting air, gas, water, steam, and vacuum lines • Comfortable working with electrical systems and conduits • Some experience with liquid filling or compounding a plus • Able to multitask and read technical manuals/drawings • Good communication, math, and computer skills
