EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • Three years minimum experience in an NC machine manufacturing environment. Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience (PC-DMIS preferred) helpful but not required. Ability to learn is required. • Must be extremely proficient in the use of inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, Inter-mics, height gage, etc.). • Must possess a working knowledge of MS Office products. DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES: • Perform First Piece inspections in order to verify part compliance to Engineering drawings prior to approving the part for • Production machining. • Perform In-Process inspections on production parts in order to ensure continued compliance to Engineering drawings. • Document the results of all inspections and compile weekly reports of inspections performed. • Interface with machine operators and/or programmers in order to communicate and resolve issues (non-conformances) in an effective and timely manner. • Interface with Manufacturing Engineering personnel in order to resolve drawing, fixture or programming-related issues. • Use a computer to input and print documents as non-conformance report. • Performs reasonably related duties as assigned. Partner closely with design team members while providing input related to component usage, layout/design, performance needs/constraints, and overall system specifications to help optimize design efforts. · Manage the engineering change control process for hydrogen infrastructure designs, documents, and Bills of Material (BOMs). · Provide review/comment/approval of Mechanical equipment documentation, such as assembly drawings, detailed design drawings, parts lists, Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for assigned systems and equipment. · Participate in engineered equipment design development with strategic partners. · Participate in all phases of the product development cycle from definition through commissioning. · Review and comment on site acceptance testing/quality documentation and review field acceptance test and commissioning procedures, as applicable · Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) Other Skills /Abilities · Must be able to easily and accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication. · Able to work under demanding time constraints · PC proficiency in Windows environment programs, such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint essential (Windows environment) · Must be able to travel to support position requirements (<10%).
