This individual will be involved in the specification, design, development and implementation of electro-mechanical systems for automated welding. Send resumes to Responsibilities Include: · Specify and Design mechanical systems for use in automated welding systems · Effectively work and collaborate with a team of electrical and mechanical engineers; Attending weekly Engineering group meetings, and offer support for project related challenges · Participation in internal project kickoff meetings, production meetings, and project review meetings. Ability to offer input on project priorities and Engineering workload for setting schedules. · Interface with Project Management, Procurement, Sales and Technical Support Teams to support Engineering & track delays that could impact schedules · Be knowledgeable about contracts, project build requirements, and system specifications. · Assist with system quality reviews throughout the build cycle, and support final Q/A of systems to ensure readiness for customer Factory Acceptance Testing. · Work quickly and accurately against deadlines; self-starter; with attention to detail · Maintain professional relationship and appearance with customers · Work well with ever-changing priorities and/or situations · Occasional Domestic and International travel Preferred Technical Skills/Education: · Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or strong equivalent experience · Proficient with SolidWorks 3D Modeling · Familiarity with automated electro-mechanical systems. · A solid understanding of mechanical design, fabrication, basic dynamics, and strength of materials. · Familiarity with simple static stress/strain calculations, simple dynamic calculations, and mechanical drawing interpretation skills. · Strong communication skills, both written and verbal · 3 – 5 years experience preferred · Familiarity with specifying and designing with AC Servo Motors · Basic understanding of electrical control systems.
