THE ROLE In this role, you will thrive with the variety of engineering project opportunities available. The Mechanical Engineer applies mechanical engineering concepts to building systems. Mechanical engineering project work focuses on interpreting the architectural design of a building and designing the heating, cooling, and plumbing system needs to integrate and support that project design. These responsibilities include: • Interpreting the architectural design plans and researching appropriate HVAC and plumbing systems to fit the scope of the project. • Designs the heating, cooling, and plumbing systems to integrate and support the architectural building plan. • Apply mechanical engineering principles such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and structural analysis principles within design work. • Understand different engineering disciplines within the project and how the mechanical engineering piece will/can impact different design elements. • Leverage engineering design software to draft plans, drawings, and models. • Incorporate the appropriate equipment to support the building's HVAC and plumbing needs. • Creatively find ways to design engineering projects in challenging spaces. • At times, in partnership with the operations manager, develop new client business and win new project work. Lead Mechanical Design Scientist

Job Overview Join us as a Lead Mechanical Design Scientist and be instrumental in transforming the mechanical framework of OCI data centers. This position demands a mix of extensive technical knowledge across Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, and Software engineering disciplines, aimed at innovating advanced thermal solutions optimized for the complete data center ecosystem. Collaborate with various internal and external partners dedicated to delivering pioneering hardware and data center solutions. • Possess deep expertise in Data Center Cooling Design and a solid understanding of ASHRAE standards. • Conduct thorough thermal simulations and critically assess partner models to mitigate risks and optimize efficiency. • Design and execute experiments to validate Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Multibody Dynamics (MBD) models, ensuring synergy with platform telemetry and Building Management System (BMS) data. • Work alongside leading CFD software firms to tailor their product development towards OCI's advanced fluid cooling requirements. • Bring hands-on experience in thermal design analysis for computing architectures, with a robust background in mechanical and electrical systems. • Grasp mechanical design processes to bolster engineering development initiatives. • Demonstrate proficient problem-solving and failure analysis capabilities rooted in core engineering principles. • Have experience with characterization and validation testing for thermal, airflow, and liquid cooling systems. • Show familiarity with machine learning, AI, and digital twin creation. • Hold a record of publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conferences. • Master data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Oracle Analytics Cloud, or similar platforms. • Excel in conceptualizing high-level systems and proficiently documenting and evaluating concepts for executive analysis. • Exhibit strong negotiation and relationship management skills with vendors. • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly. Mechanical CAD Designer / Design Engineer

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced design/build environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical design portfolio and experience working with various tools and equipment.
