Job Description Primary Purpose: Provides the first-line supervision of various craft personnel on an assigned shift for mechanical operations. Duties will vary depending on whether the position is located at a freight car orlocomotive repair facility. Principal Duties: Duties for a locomotive facility may involve an overhaul of diesel locomotives and their electrical and mechanical components. Duties for a freight car facility may involve an overhaul, repair and modification of business car mechanical and electrical systems. Inspect, service, and repair freight cars.
