About the position Responsibilities • Perform shift rounds using sensory inspection of equipment. • Conduct electrical and plumbing installation and repair. • Execute architectural installation and repair including flooring, painting, drywall, and wall covering. • Carry out refrigeration and HVAC installation and repair. • Perform pneumatic and electric control installation and repair. • Complete carpentry installations such as cabinets, shelving, and furniture repair. • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks. • Remove snow and ice from parking lots, walkways, and doors. • Perform computer data entry. Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or refrigeration preferred. • Associate's Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Plant Maintenance preferred. • Completion of 30-hour Occupational Safety and Health Training Course required within 120 days. • Aerial Lift Operator Training required within 120 days. • Forklift Driver Training required within 120 days. • Crane and Rigging Training required within 120 days. • NFPA 70 E training required within 120 days. • Confined Space Training required within 120 days. • Training for installation, maintenance, and servicing of Follet Corporation products required within 120 days. • BMVL required; must maintain eligibility to drive as determined by SOMC's insurance carriers. • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire. • EPA section 608 Certification required within 120 days. Maintenance Mechanic

OSCO is seeking skilled Maintenance Mechanics to join our team. Our Maintenance Mechanics play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventative maintenance measures. The Maintenance Mechanic will be instrumental in maintaining production uptime and quality by ensuring efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. Duties • Ensures the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. • Helps to locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; and examining the form and texture of parts. • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipts. • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
