Associate Engineer

Position Purpose: Responsible for coordinating process improvements, tooling designs, and equipment uptime for the axle line. Essential Functions: • Coordinate tooling aspects of a project and component design. • Create/modify/release part drawings. • Designs, validates, provides test reports, and sign-off documents, and ensures production readiness. • Work on initiatives to decrease downtime and increase equipment output. • Coordinates the tooling design and test aspects on the project with manufacturing engineers. • Provides continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement, and elimination of waste. Education and Training • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Degrees in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Aerospace Engineering preferred. Minimum Qualifications • Two years minimum experience with tooling design. • Must be proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent. • Must be proficient in 3D modeling, CREO preferred. • Experience with PLM software, Teamcenter preferred. • Must be proficient in GD&T. • Must have knowledge of manufacturing techniques and their impact on cost, weight, and performance. • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. • Understanding of dimensioning methods per ANSI Y14.5M Physical Demands • Frequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods of time. • Occasional standing and walking on concrete. • Occasional climbing stairs and fixed/vertical ladders. • Ability to lift and carry up to 60lbs. • Ability to push/pull carts (minimal 25lbs) and parts (minimal 60lbs). • Ability to drive as required. • Ability to travel as required. Mechanic

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in equipment repair and vehicle maintenance. Performs maintenance and repair of fleet of vehicles, on & off road equipment, rolling stock and all stationary equipment within the Company. Utilizes mechanical and automotive expertise to effectively maintain and repair specialized vehicles and related equipment used in fertilizer and crop protectant application and refined fuels delivery, as well as commercial delivery of bulk and packaged merchandise. Responsibilities: - Safely perform maintenance and repair of motorized fleet vehicles and related equipment. Vehicles will vary by location and may include: o Forklifts o Loaders o ATV/UTV o Cars o Light Duty Trucks o Medium Duty Trucks o Heavy Duty Trucks o Off road machinery o Tractors and implements o High Clearance fertilizer spreaders & sprayers o Conveyors o Blenders - Effectively utilize mechanical, automotive, millwright, and other specialized skills and the appropriate tools as determined by the job. Gather and analyze information to diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot systems. Calibrate equipment to proper settings. Read and effectively interpret mechanical and automotive specifications, manuals, diagrams, meters, gauges, and control panels to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of parts. - Effectively operate commercial motor vehicles in compliance with government regulations and policy. - Maintain a clean and orderly work area by keeping tools, equipment and supplies in proper places. Minimize waste and properly dispose of waste material. Perform all related cleaning of equipment, vehicle and work areas according to procedures. - Perform work safely as to not cause harm to yourself, co-workers, equipment, or inventory. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Operate all equipment and vehicles according to WF policy and government regulations. Comply with OSHA regulations, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, work rules and policies. Skills: - Previous experience as a diesel mechanic is required - This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform essential job functions and mandatory compliance with the WF motor vehicle safety policy - Effective knowledge of mechanical, automotive, and related specialized skills - Able to cut, weld, and fabricate metal - Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematic symbols, manuals, mechanical and automotive specifications, diagrams, meters, gauges, and control panels - Able to gather and analyze data to troubleshoot and diagnose repair needs utilizing test instruments and specialized tools - Computer literacy to operate business systems - Able to effectively communicate technical information - Able to utilize interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment - Able to work well independently and follow safety, quality control and operating procedures at all times Qualifications: -High School diploma or GED equivalent. - D.O.T. Class A CDL preferred. - Ability to read, write and clearly communicate with others. - Automotive diagnostics and repair experience. - Proficiency in welding and equipment repair. - Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks. - Must have a minimum of 1 year diesel mechanic experience. - Skilled in using hand tools for vehicle maintenance.
