Production Mechanic

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Packaging Mechanic to join our production team. The Packaging Mechanic will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a variety of packaging machinery. The ideal candidate must have the ability to quickly diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime and ensure production runs efficiently. Experience with lathe and milling machines for part fabrication is a plus. Duties Machine Setup and Maintenance: - Operate, maintain, and repair the following machines: - Tube Machine - Bag on Valve - Aerosol Filling Machines - Piston Fillers - Labeling Machines (front, back, and wrap) - Shrink Applicators - Steam Tunnels - Torquing Units - Carton Machines - Ensure all machines are properly set up for production runs, including performing routine changeovers, calibration, and adjustments as necessary. - Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: - Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues promptly to minimize downtime. - Utilize electrical schematics and manuals to diagnose faults in wiring, motors, sensors, and other electrical components. - Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve mechanical malfunctions, including wear, misalignment, and defective parts. - Perform root cause analysis on recurring machine issues to prevent future breakdowns.
