Sr Mechanical Engineer

We’re seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who brings deep technical expertise in heavy industrial systems and the engineering codes that govern them. This role will lead complex mechanical and piping design efforts, perform advanced analysis, and guide projects from concept through detailed engineering. It’s an ideal opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving large-scale mechanical challenges and working across multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities • Lead mechanical system and piping design efforts, including development of P&IDs, specifications, and detailed engineering packages. • Perform stress, hydraulic, and mechanical analyses for piping systems, tanks, vessels, and rotating equipment. • Provide technical oversight on mechanical process design and equipment selection, including pumps, turbines, and compressors. • Review deliverables for accuracy, compliance with industry codes, and alignment with project objectives. • Collaborate with project managers, discipline engineers, and clients to ensure coordinated and efficient execution. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree a plus. • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in heavy industrial environments. • Professional Engineer (PE) license required. • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering codes, standards, and industrial best practices. • Experience with tank and vessel design and analysis. • Proven capabilities in mechanical system design and engineering documentation. • Familiarity with process equipment such as pumps, turbines, and compressors. • Excellent communication skills and ability to support cross-functional coordination.
