Tessera is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to support the maintenance and optimization of mechanical systems across campus facilities. This role plays a vital part in ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations, while contributing to energy-saving initiatives and long-term infrastructure reliability. Typical duties include but are not limited to: • Oversee and optimize mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, boilers, and pumps across campus facilities • Lead repair, replacement, and upgrade projects; manage contractors, schedules, and project execution • Serve as liaison between Engineering Branch and shop craftsmen to ensure effective collaboration and communication • Conduct root cause analysis, performance testing, and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability • Collaborate with civil, electrical, and environmental engineers to deliver integrated facility solutions • Implement sustainable practices to enhance energy efficiency and reduce operational costs • Prepare statements of work, cost estimates, and technical alternatives for project planning and review • Support compliance with DoD, OSHA, and environmental standards; assist with audits and documentation • Lead asset inventory, condition assessments, and reliability initiatives including RCA and PM optimization • Communicate clearly with senior leadership, delivering updates, risk assessments, and recommendations with professionalism and integrity Qualifications: • BS in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from an ABET accredited university. • 3-5 years experience in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering fields • Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) by the Association for Facilities Engineering preferred • Strong background in mechanical system design, cost estimating, project management, and corrosion control • Hands-on experience with facilities maintenance, code compliance reviews, and sustainable design practices • Proficient in direct digital and pneumatic controls, fire protection systems, HVAC/R systems, and central heat plant operations including High Temp Hot Water generation and distribution Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. Mechanical Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE The Glen Eyrie Maintenance Technician IV shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. This position works with the Facilities Department and team providing maintenance, repairs, remodels and general construction for all the buildings and grounds. This work will be performed at both Glen Eyrie and Eagle Lake properties. General Maintenance and Construction – 95% • Provide support to all aspects of the facilities operations for Glen Eyrie and Eagle Lake, to include but not limited to, buildings, grounds, and vehicle maintenance. • Primary focus on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. • General repairs in carpentry, masonry, drywall, plaster, stucco, paint, windows, concrete and roofing. • Support locks and e-lock systems. • Utilize maintenance tracking software, Maintenance Connection, for daily work orders. • Independently research, plan, and develop maintenance projects to present to management. • Lead and train staff/volunteers under the direction of management. • Maintain vehicle, equipment, and tools used on the job. • Serve on the Facilities-on-Duty rotation (FOD). • Serve as a member of the Flood-Response Team (FRT).
