Learn more about on www.mamata.com Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for an Electro-Mechanical Technician at Mamata Machinery Limited in Bradenton, FL. The Electro Mechanical Technician will be responsible for equipment maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment. Flexible packaging machinery knowledge is plus but not necesarry as training will be provided to those who ask questions! The primary focus at the Bradenton facility is design, manufacturing, sales and after sales of world-class pouch packaging machinery. The machine technician/engineer must possess a track record of mechanical and electrical systems knowledge, sense of urgency, machinery installation, set-up, troubleshooting and repair coupled with a high level of customer focus. Goal is to increase machine Overall Equipment effectiveness. The position will require participation of the assembly, set up and/or factory acceptance testing of each machine in order to maintain a high level of knowledge and to be able to expedite the installation and commissioning processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and sales skills for preventive maintenance and spare parts. Person must follow company guidelines on travel policies and submit all expense reports and trip reports within reasonable amount of time. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) • Maintain involvement of FAT in Bradenton prior to shipment to customer • Help customers prepare for installation and review scope of work Installation and Commissioning • Ensure proper placement and positioning of new machines / conversions • Ensure all connections to utilities are properly made • Ensure all safety mechanisms are in place and functioning properly • Advise customers of any issues with machine or facilities upon installation • Ensure machine is set up and adjusted properly • Monitor production and advise customer of any necessary adjustments • Perform customer site acceptance testing with the goal of final commissioning Training • Train customer personnel on machine operation and controls • Train customer personnel on changeover procedures • Train customer personnel on care and maintenance • Train customer personnel on troubleshooting • Train customer personnel on safety precautions Troubleshooting • Possess the ability to go online with machine PLC for diagnostics • Possess the ability to make code changes in collaboration with engineering • Possess the ability to troubleshoot issues related to wiring • Possess the ability to use a digital multimeter Customer satisfaction • Work in a professional manner, even in difficult environments • Advise customers of maintenance or operational opportunities • Consult and advise on customer spare parts inventory • Maintain high sense of urgency in customer production environment Team collaboration • Work with engineering and provide constructive feedback • Write and communicate trip report for each customer visit Safety • Acknowledge and follow all customer site rules and regulations • Ensure working in a safe work environment • Acknowledge and follow all Mamata safety regulations PRE-REQUISITES: • Associate’s Degree, or equivalent, in technical area of study. • 3-5 years experience in field service role of packaging machinery is plus. • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC is plus. • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Studio 5000 Logix Designer software is plus. • Ability to read electrical schematics • Ability to work with electrical components, wires and cables • Mechanical systems knowledge and practical work experience • Customer-facing work experience • Authorized to work in the USA We’re looking to hire immediately! The Senior Engineer – Mechanical designs functional, reliable and cost effective, heavy duty vehicle components. Perform engineering analysis and design or re-design, and development of components into existing and new vehicles. Provide integration and execution support for vehicle and component design. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience. STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS: • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems. • Experience with a high level CAD system.
