at U.S. Pacific Fleet in Bangor, Maine, United States Job Description Summary You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN ( MECHANICAL ) in the Engineering and Planning Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY , BANGOR . This announcement is for an Upward Mobility Program position. Duties Help + You will take the lead as tasked, with the identification, evaluation, and resolution of submarine, TRIPER , Radar, and NWORRC technical problems, and test and documentation deficiencies. + You will manage, research, define test requirements and specifications (including drawings and sketches), evaluate and analyze data, and provide technical engineering reports to support and accomplish unrestricted operation program requirements. + You will exercise a high degree of initiative, judgement, and resourcefulness in the organization, management, and coordination of activities concerned with performing submarine ( SSBN ) refits and industrial repairs. + You will evaluate perceived TRIDENT submarine (and other class ships) design deficiencies to determine if the source of deficient conditions may result from inadequate Integrated Logistic Support ( ILS ) and propose corrective actions as appropriate.
