A typical day could include repairing or replacing defective parts, testing boiler operations, and programming heating and air conditioning system components using computer software. This crucial position supports the 24/7 mission requirements at the 101st Air Refueling Wing in Bangor, Maine, and two geographically separated units in South Portland, Maine. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions necessary to maintain HVAC operations across approximately 550,000 sq. ft. of facilities and 49 buildings. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Inspecting, repairing, modifying, and installing HVAC equipment • Repairing or replacing defective parts and controls • Testing and examining boiler operations • Programming heating and air conditioning system components • Maintaining records and writing reports using a computerized work order management system Minimum qualifications: Current valid Master Plumber's license as issued by the Plumber's Examining Board Or Current valid Master Oil Burner Mechanic's License as issued by the Maine Fuel Board.
