Our customer in Augusta is in need of a temporary mechanic. This is a temporary assignment lasting 2-3 months. This position consists of basic light-duty mechanical work maintaining vehicles and equipment (light and heavy). Work involves basic mechanical repairs and maintenance. Prior mechanical experience required. Shift will be Monday through Friday, 7am - 3:30pm$24/hour ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS; • Confirms parts provided are correct for the job assignment. • Completes a work order for each job assignment. • Reads parts manuals to determine correct part(s) to be ordered. • Performs light mechanical work, such as tire service, lube & oil change, brake jobs, minor tune-ups, fuels equipment, vehicle cleaning and vehicle inspections. • Maintains a clean and safe work area. • Perform other duties related to Public Works operation, as assigned.
