We are seeking a passionate Junior Mechanical Designer to join our Ashland, Kentucky team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting senior engineers with designing and developing mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery. Responsibilities • Develop assembly and detail drawings of mechanical equipment from basic engineering or reference equipment using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD • Perform calculations and analysis for product development and design • Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to solve engineering problems and optimize designs. • Ensure that projects are completed on time and under budget • Participate in meetings, reviews, and presentations to communicate project progress and findings. • Support manufacturing and production processes by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting issues. • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in all engineering activities. • Learn and apply new technologies, software tools, and engineering principles to improve skills and knowledge. • Complete comprehensive training program at Danieli headquarters in Buttrio, Italy Technical Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field • 0-5 years of experience in mechanical design or related field • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others • Strong attention to detail • Ability to travel domestically and internationally Other Conditions of Employment • Successful candidate must be able to pass a drug screen. • Submit to a criminal background check.
