The individual will also make changes to existing drawings to improve them and bring them up to present day standards. • * Position is an on-site role, located in Auburn, MA.* • Responsibilities • Lead production order projects from development through installation at the customer site. • Work with Manufacturing and Application Engineering and other team members. • Actively participate in tracking project costs, hours, and milestone dates. • Schedule and chair design review meetings to evaluate proposed product designs. • Test and troubleshoot mechanical systems prior to shipping. • Travel to customer and supplier sites to install, and/or design equipment and components. • Work closely with colleagues, customers, and suppliers to ensure that all project objectives are met. • Manage all aspects of the specific product/process development/improvement project. • Strive to develop new methods and tools that can help our business become more successful. • Other duties as assigned. Success in this position requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The candidate must be able to perform engineering calculations such as but not limited to Strength of Materials, Statics, Vibrations and others. The candidate will be expected to learn us of 3D scanner, and the software that goes with it. Must be able to scan machinery at customer site, and convert to CAD to create a design.
