Mechanical Operations Technician

A Mechanical Skilled Technician contributes to the manufacturing process by maintaining and operating manufacturing machinery. Mechanical technical knowledge is used for making repairs and includes monitoring the safety and quality of the equipment. As a Manufacturing Technician, your essential duties and responsibilities include: • Operating various types of equipment, including but not limited to, high speed assembly, metal stamping, injection molding, and/or packaging equipment. • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using various tools. • Maintain safe and clean working environment. • Trouble-shoot issues with the equipment and perform maintenance and repairs, as necessary. • Responsible for safety, quality, and production. Facility Coordinator / Mechanical Technician

Job Summary: The Facility Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation, maintenance, and safety of the company’s physical infrastructure. This role involves coordinating repairs, managing vendor relationships, overseeing facility services, and supporting workplace safety and compliance for the Duracell LaGrange Business Center. In addition, to maintain a full workload, this position may be utilized by the P&E Organization with Mechanic Technician duties by assisting with installation, troubleshooting and startup of Duracell manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks. Key Responsibilities: Facility Operations & Maintenance • Coordinate day-to-day facility operations, including cleaning, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and security systems. • Schedule and oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs. • Conduct regular inspections to ensure facilities meet safety and cleanliness standards. Vendor & Contractor Management • Liaise with external vendors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and facility upgrades. • Review and manage service contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and quality standards. • Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage purchase orders and invoices. Space Planning & Office Support • Assist with office moves, space planning, and workstation setups. • Maintain inventory of office supplies, furniture, and equipment.Support ergonomic assessments and workspace optimization. • Mechanical Technician Support • Serve as a technical resource to managers, engineers and mechanics for vendor acceptance, installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair of Duracell manufacturing equipment. • Support installation of equipment at Duracell manufacturing locations including machine positioning, utility connection and machine interface connections. • Install and perform repairs on pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems essential to the proper performance and operation of the equipment. Health, Safety & Compliance • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire safety, and other regulatory requirements. • Maintain safety records, conduct drills, and support emergency preparedness plans.Report and resolve safety hazards promptly. • Administrative & Reporting • Maintain facility records, maintenance logs, and asset inventories. • Prepare reports on facility usage, costs, and improvement opportunities. • Support budgeting and cost control for facility-related expenses. Qualifications: Education & Experience • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). ( Technical experience that provides positive evidence that he/she has the required aptitude, knowledge and ability may be considered) • 2+ years of experience in facility coordination, office management, or building operations.2+ years of experience in Equipment installation • Skills & Competencies • Ability to be self-directed and self-starting, working with minimal or no supervision. • Adaptable to frequent changes in job priorities and activities. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software (e.g., CMMS). • Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. • Work Environment: • Primarily on-site but may require up to 30% of travel • May require occasional evening or weekend work for emergencies or special projects. . Mechanical Design Engineer -Norican - LaGrange, GA

Job Details • Develop design concepts, calculations, layouts, assemblies, pneumatic schematics, ventilation layouts, and detail drawings. Create associated bills of material. • Review sales order, customer specifications and related documents to ensure the design meets customer requirements. Attend order launch meetings. • Prepare required forms including; partial releases, final releases, revision releases, customer adjustments, approval prints, certified prints, EQST/assembly list, and other forms required by ISO procedures and work instructions. • Update machine manuals in accordance with EMP orders. • Interact with the plant and field representatives to resolve design related issues. Some travel may be required to verify EMP fit-up and requirements. • Collaborate with Electrical Engineers on the application and operation of specific designs. • Coordinate and interface with other departments to effect solutions associated with Wheelabrator aftermarket business. This may include loading or classifying parts, providing technical assistance to sales or customers, and updating or improving obsolete designs to facilitate completion of customer orders. • Stay updated with latest CAD technologies and may provide technical training and support to CAD users. • Perform special projects and duties as required.
