Mechanical Operations Technician

A Mechanical Skilled Technician contributes to the manufacturing process by maintaining and operating manufacturing machinery. Mechanical technical knowledge is used for making repairs and includes monitoring the safety and quality of the equipment. As a Manufacturing Technician, your essential duties and responsibilities include: • Operating various types of equipment, including but not limited to, high speed assembly, metal stamping, injection molding, and/or packaging equipment. • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using various tools. • Maintain safe and clean working environment. • Trouble-shoot issues with the equipment and perform maintenance and repairs, as necessary. • Responsible for safety, quality, and production. Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid - Direct Hire) LaGrange, GA Job Requisition: 7418 Annual Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 plus bonus. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data. SUMMARY Under general direction, initiates, plans, designs, and oversees major equipment modernization projects to meet customer requirements. Projects will be completed in accordance with existing Engineering design practices and standards. RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop design concepts, calculations, layouts, assemblies, pneumatic schematics, ventilation layouts, and detail drawings. Create associated bills of material. • Review sales order, customer specifications and related documents to ensure the design meets customer requirements. Attend order launch meetings. • Prepare required forms including; partial releases, final releases, revision releases, customer adjustments, approval prints, certified prints, assembly list, and other forms required by ISO procedures and work instructions. • Update machine manuals in accordance with orders. • Interact with the plant and field representatives to resolve design related issues. Some travel may be required to verify fit-up and requirements. • Collaborate with Electrical Engineers on the application and operation of specific designs. • Coordinate and interface with other departments to effect solutions associated with aftermarket business. This may include loading or classifying parts, providing technical assistance to sales or customers, and updating or improving obsolete designs to facilitate completion of customer orders. • Stay updated with latest CAD technologies and may provide technical training and support to CAD users • Perform special projects and duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university) in Mechanical Engineering preferred • 5+ years related experience preferred • Strong skills in 2D and 3D design (SolidWorks) software and Windows Office applications. • Understand and utilize fundamental design practices and demonstrate experience in product design using CAD and/or three dimensional modeling software. • Understanding and experience in stress calculations and machine drive calculations, pneumatic and hydraulic components and controls, standard welding practices, bill of material structure, and revision of control environment • Strong emphasis as a team player that thrives in a team environment and presents themselves in professional manner.
