This position is a 12-hour night shift position. The schedule is 2x2x3, which is 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on. Training may take place on day shift. A Mechanical Skilled Technician contributes to the manufacturing process by maintaining and operating manufacturing machinery. Mechanical technical knowledge is used for making repairs and includes monitoring the safety and quality of the equipment. As a Manufacturing Technician, your essential duties and responsibilities include: • Operating various types of equipment, including but not limited to, high speed assembly, metal stamping, injection molding, and/or packaging equipment. • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using various tools. • Maintain safe and clean working environment. • Trouble-shoot issues with the equipment and perform maintenance and repairs, as necessary. • Responsible for safety, quality, and production. Qualifications: Education & Experience • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
