The CNC Laser Operator uses computer controlled cutting equipment to cut steel, aluminum, stainless steel and various other metals into a wide variety of parts. You will be responsible for loading raw material into the machine, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring machine is properly maintained. Pay starting at $19.06 per hour with the opportunity to earn up to $23.69 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential. What You’ll Do: • Perform laser cutting operations using cutting programs and fixtures. • Make proper set-ups for cutting operations. • Monitor machine performance. • Perform required maintenance on machine. Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor. • Perform all dimensional inspections. • Operate forklift as needed. • Use ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to log in and out of work orders. What You’ll Need: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience. • Ability to read blueprints. • Ability to use a tape measure, calipers, and basic hand tools. • Forklift operating experience. • Basic math skills. • Ability to identify material. • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. • Basic computer skills What Helps: • CNC experience preferred.
