CNC Machinist

We seek great folks of all skill levels and experience. Duties will include programing, setup, operation, and inspection of tight tolerance parts in both CNC mills and CNC lathes. Experience with Fanuc controls and Mori Seiki is a very strong plus. Experience with the use of a micrometer, dial indicator, microscope, to ensure overall set, balance and conformance to ISO specifications is a plus. Work could also include the use of wrenches, metal cutters, pliers, miscellaneous hand tools, and overhead electric hoist. • Regular use of various electric, hydraulic or hand trucks to transport materials to and from production area, and hydraulic hand truck to lift material to machine table height. • Observe operation conducting frequent checks to assure, amount of set, pitch or other factors, make necessary adjustments to maintain quality • Perform TPM maintenance of equipment as required • Detect and report defective equipment or material as well • Observe and obey all safety rules, regulations and practices and employ all safety equipment and devices • Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed • Setup and Operation of CNC Vertical Mill & Lathe • Ability to read and interpret detailed prints • Strong inspection skills with measurement tools • Programming CNC Vertical Mill & Lathe is a plus • Primary Lathe Experience preferred • Offering top pay for fully qualified candidate. Machine Operator

Remedy Staffing is excited to extend temp-to-hire Machine Operator positions to you from our client in Iowa City, IA. Our client is expanding warehouse operations and needs dedicated team members to join this fast-paced operation. Shift/Hours: 1st shift. 7AM – 3PM.
