Senior Electrical Systems Specialist

Job Role: We are seeking a skilled electrical engineer to lead the design & development of electrical control panels and automated control systems. • Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical control panels and automated control systems. • Participate in regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders to determine project scope, requirements, deliverables, and schedules. • Develop equipment motor lists and device lists in collaboration with mechanical teams. • Research and analyze technical specifications to satisfy end-user needs. • Oversee design documents, schematics, and process control diagrams to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations. • Mentor, review, and delegate work to designers and interns. • Participate in project planning and management, including scheduling and budgeting, through the complete life cycle from concept to commissioning. Requirements: • An Engineering degree with 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems. • Proficient with Microsoft Excel. • Experience with EPLAN or AutoCAD is an asset. • Knowledge of Electrical Codes - NFPA79, NEC, CEC, CSA, and IEC/EN as well as Panel Design Standard UL508A. • Knowledge of machine safety design is an asset. • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Motivated and effective team player. • Ability to effectively manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines under changing conditions.
