Harbison Walker International is seeking a Machinist with proven experience! If you have a strong background using CNC and grinders this could be your next career. The primary function of the Machinist is to set up and operate all CNC machining centers and wire EDM machines, and surface grinders. • Setup of the machines may require computations using trigonomic functions. • Interpret Shop Blueprints. • Must have ability to understand / modify / write (simple) CNC Program Code. • Perform simple maintenance tasks on above machines (maintain fluid levels, grease & lubricate as required) • Report labor and materials charged to Jobs using JobBoss Shop Floor Control System. • Ability to use and operate CNC Machining Centers, Wire EDM Machine, Manual Milling Machine, Manual Lathes, Drill Presses, Surface Grinders, Band Saws, Hand Files, Die Grinders, Metal Shear, Heat Treating Furnace, Lift Truck, Calculator, and Computers. • Ability to use machinist Hand Tools consisting of: Micrometers, Digital Calipers & Depth Gages, Digital Height Gages, Combination Square, Gage Blocks, Sine Plates. Machinist Conventional - 3rd shift - Centralia, MO

A Day In The Life • Set-up / operate all machine tools in the EDM Room including, but not limited to, Ram's Wire's and CNC machining centers. • Operate conventional mills, grinders, and lathes. • Work to tolerance of+/ .0005" • Produce tooling components and any other parts normally produced in the Tool Room through verbal instructions, drawings, sketch, and machine programs. • Independently make own set-ups for all assignments. • Interpret and edit CAD generated programs. • Given direction by other assigned and authorized individuals in the department or organization. What will help you thrive in this role? Ability to lift and carry a 65 lb. part from waist level to waist level a distance of 3 feet at a rate of once per day. Ability to lift 50 lbs. filters and resin once per month. Ability to lift 80 lb. wire spools a distance of 3 feet at a rate of 2 times per week. Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor. Ability to walk, see and hear in order to reasonably perform essential job functions Full use of both hands. Ability to stand and perform various job functions for long periods of time, with company standard break periods for rest.
