Machinist I - 1st Shift

Position Summary As a Machinist I you will be responsible operating equipment such as, but not limited to, mills, lathes, mill/lathe combo machine to cut, tap, and alter bar stock according to specification. May perform some set ups. Shifts: 5:00am-3:00pm or 6:00am-4:30pm (4 day's work week, 10 hours per day Monday-Thursday) What you will do as a Machinst I • Complete all projects, assignments, and duties as directed and instructed. T-CARDS and 5S. • Remain safety-conscious at all times by wearing all prescribed safety equipment and observing all safety rules. • Conform to all policies, procedures, and rules of conduct as communicated through the Associate Handbook, Bulletin Boards, Newsletters, and any other vehicle by which information is distributed by STERIS Management. • Comply with all quality standards. Meet all productivity requirements and quality standards. • Load work piece/pieces manually or using assistance. • Check work to ensure that it meets the specifications set. • 7Read and interpret STERIS blueprints including standard tolerances and other work instruction documents. • Use required measuring instruments and gauges to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements. • Record production activities on computerized shop floor control system. • Additional duties as required to meet business needs.
