Lathe Machinist - Night Shift

Job Summary The Lathe Machinist at Triumph Geared Solutions - Macomb is responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of CNC Lathes in the Lathe Department. The Lathe Machinist must be able to produce high-quality products according to Triumph Gear Systems Lathe department operations manual. Duties/Responsibilities • Read, interpret, and apply information from engineering drawings • Adhere to job plans per job travelers • Set-up multiple types of jobs with fixtures • Operate CNC Lathes • Basic Maintenance of CNC Lathes • Use precision measurement equipment • Install and maintain cutting tools • Consistently produce quality parts • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Post-secondary CNC related certificate or degree preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of Lathe operations. • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
