Requirements We are searching for a candidate with: • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and moving materials. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Prior machining experience preferred. • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.). • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, micrometers, technical documents and drawings. • Must be able to hold close tolerance and work independently. Duties and Responsibilities A typical day may include: • Performs standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, and speeds and feeds of machining. • Reads & understands machining programs applicable to jobs assigned. • Troubleshoots programs & setups with limited supervision. • Ensures proper calibration of tooling & replaces inserts. • Responsible for the identification and inspection of parts upon completion with high attention to detail and specifications • Responsible for the quality of finished work product and for reporting required Quality data. • Uses a variety of measuring instruments to check parts for conformance to tolerance. • Follows directions on work instructions and completes paperwork as needed. • Responsible for meeting established cycle times. • Suggests recommendations to Supervisor concerning process improvements, program edits and corrections needed to reduce set up times as well as improve cycle times. • Performs routine daily maintenance checks, ensuring equipment is in safe and working order • Assists in keeping the equipment and working area clean on a daily basis.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs • Benefits of Working With Us • Medical/Life Insurance • Weekly pay • Company paid pension • Guaranteed progression increases • Paid holidays • Employee referral program • Numerous growth and promotion opportunities • Employee Assistance Program • Opportunity to learn new skills • … and more! The Machine Operator is responsible for: Manage the operating of all types of machines and work to ensure that they are maintained. Reads and interprets blueprints, tape measures, schedules, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating. Sets up and operates fabricating machines according to the specifications. Work to adjust and operate speed and control the load of the machines. Monitor the finished products obtained to ensure the quality conforms to the specifications. Monitor the working of the machine and report the need of improvement, defects, or malfunctions. Operation of lifting devices as needed.
