CNC Machining Supervisor - 2nd Shift

JOB SUMMARY: The 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor is responsible for multiple product lines and all related non-exempt hourly personnel, raw materials, equipment, and processes to meet customer requirements. The Operations Supervisor serves as a Servant Leader to their respective areas and is responsible for ensuring that all organizational policies and procedures are being communicated and followed. The Operations Supervisor will coach, develop, and mentor teams of operators and Team Leads. This role will require that you carry out your duties in accordance with ENPRO's Core values of Safety, Excellence, and Respect, while actively demonstrating ENPRO's Leadership Pillars. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Develops and fosters an environment where safety, excellence and respect are key components of the department's daily goals. • Proactively communicates information to team members and supports them through collective difficulties. • Utilizes, manages and directs Engineering direct reports to: improve manufacturing processes through assessing, measuring and interpreting data, perform risk assessments, manage cost and time constraints, make data-driven decisions, and develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output. • Responsible for identifying opportunities for machine/equipment enhancement, replacement and automation. • Utilizes Capital Expenditure Process and cross functional teams to justify, implement and manage projects. • Energetically supports daily performance metric collection, labor utilization, scrap investigation, production schedule, attendance, and overtime for their respective areas. • Publicly and privately provides open, honest feedback and acknowledges a job well done by team members or the team as a whole. • Proactively supports team performance and drives accountability in their respective areas. • Responsible for financial performance of the respective product lines and special process areas. • Drives and encourages all team members to develop, implement and be actively engaged in various continuous improvement projects from beginning to completion. • Actively trains, coaches and mentors others in all aspects including succession, development, evaluation, and adherence to work rules and company policies. • Develops and fosters a problem-solving culture by coaching and encouraging team members to challenge normal processes, involving them in decisions which impact their roles. • Actively supports and shares resources as needed with all departments in the organization to achieve overall business objectives. • Gather, utilize and communicate data to be used for operational business decisions. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Leads departmental R.O.P.E activities to drive the implementation and completion of various safety cost-saving and quality improvements. • Performs any other assigned duty as directed by Production Manager / Plant Manager. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance or Business preferred. • High School graduate or equivalency is required. • 1-2 years of front-line supervision required. • At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment required. • Demonstrates great interpersonal and communication skills. • Understands and demonstrates the principles of servant leadership in team-based manufacturing environment. • Demonstrates a professional and positive attitude as well as a passion for continuous improvement.
