The Metal Parts Fabricator will be responsible for operating analog lathe machinery, and ensuring that all products meet stringent specifications. Responsibilities • Operate lathe and milling machines, and other precision machinery. • Strong welding skills with different types of metal. • Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accuracy in manufacturing. • Employ precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify dimensions. • Perform assembly tasks as required, ensuring all components fit together correctly. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. • Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling effectively in fabrication processes. • Collaborate with team members to implement lean manufacturing practices for improved efficiency. Skills • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments. • Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements and material requirements. • Experience operating forklifts safely within the manufacturing facility. • Knowledge of welding techniques is mandatory. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
