CNC Operator

Position Summary: It is responsible for the repair, precision and creation of manufacturer parts as requested. Guarantees the good operation of the manufacturing machines and all precision equipment at machine shop. Repairing Dies, punches, etc. Operating lathes, Milling machines, bandsaws, grinders. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Verify production itinerary and prepare documentation for your shift. • Perform equipment precision tooling rebuilt and any other part that need to be manufacture by using the lathe or milling machine among other. • Must have principles concept on variety of welding process to attend any emergency repair. • Must interpreted drawings and blueprints related to parts and or equipment. • Analyze the tooling product of the run on the production lines. Analyze and help determine the root cause of quality problems in the production line. • Effective and timely manufacturing of requested parts by the Supervisor to ensure proper maintenance and running of manufacture equipment. • Responsible of Machine Shop tooling inventory for equipment, tools, and parts. • Must evaluate, recommend, and identify equipment deficiencies. Troubleshooting, plan of action and recommendations must be recorded in a "hit list" log in a categorized certain priority level assigned by the Maintenance Manager. • Keep and maintain records and files, prepare reports, order parts and supplies for equipment related to their roles and responsibilities. • Ensure the organization and cleaning of the work area at the end of every shift. • Be responsible of an immediate notification to the Supervisor of any unsafe acts or conditions as well areas that need cleaning attention. • Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices. • Follow and ensure compliance of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the current Food Safety System. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Always wear personal protective equipment. • Comply with the policies, procedures and processes established by Florida Can Manufacturing. Education & Experience: • High School Diploma or education equivalent required. • Technical degree in Tool & Die Technology preferred. • At least three to four years of related experience required on precision equipment. • Welding, Fabrication, repairing tooling is a plus. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Attention to details. • Reasoning. • Strong problem-solving skills. • Available for work overtime, holidays, and rotating shifts. • Mathematical Skills Physical Demands: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: • Work requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for periods of five hours or more, moving and examining objects at high and low reach, and reading for periods of three hours or more. • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance. This position also requires manual dexterity/fine motor skills. • Ability to work twelve (12) hour rotating swing shifts, frequent overtime. CNC Operator/Programmer Machinist

Pay Range $17 to $24 hourly depending on experience.
