CNC Production Operations Lead

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Production and Operations Lead to oversee and optimize our machine shop operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage scheduling, workflow, and team performance while ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a deep understanding of CNC Milling and Turning, Welding, Laser Cutting, EDM Wire, and Bending processes. Key Responsibilities • Production Scheduling & Workflow Management – Develop and maintain efficient production schedules to ensure timely project completion while optimizing resource allocation. • Team Leadership & Development – Lead a team of machinists and technicians in a hands-on environment, providing mentorship, training, and performance management. • Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving – Identify and resolve production issues proactively to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency. • Process Optimization & SOP Implementation – Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance productivity, quality, and safety. • Quality Control & Inspection – Ensure all parts meet required specifications by overseeing inspection processes and maintaining adherence to industry standards. • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work closely with sales, engineering, programming, and design teams to streamline manufacturing processes and improve workflow. • Continuous Improvement – Analyze manufacturing performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. • Equipment & Resource Management – Oversee CNC machines, tooling, and materials, ensuring optimal utilization and maintenance. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Production, or a related technical field (preferred). • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a strong background in CNC machining. • Familiarity with part inspection processes and industry standards (GD&T, CMM, FARO Arm, Calipers, Gages, etc.). • Proficiency in 3D CAD/CAM software and other relevant design tools. • Experience in manufacturing disciplines such as fabrication, programming, and design. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to solve complex engineering and production challenges. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration and leadership. • Ability to work proactively, anticipate issues, and implement solutions before they impact production. Northwood CNC Programmer/Operator (AlphaCAM)

Position Overview Platinum Granite & Marble is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality precision countertops that fall in spec.
