Starting pay for this role is $36.68/hour What You Will Do In Your Role Performing preventative maintenance and routine repairs as a member of the maintenance team ensuring precision maintenance strategies are followedOverhauling, rebuilding, maintaining, inspecting, fabricating parts for, and repairing one or more systems on a wide range of equipment throughout the plantMeasuring, inspecting, and testing machine parts to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, feeler gauges and other precision measurement toolsShaping steel, aluminum, titanium , a variety of alloys , and other materials. Working with vendors to price parts, supplies , and place orders Using hand tools, power tools, precision-measuring devices, and machine shop equipment (i.e lathes, milling machines, and grinders) to produce metal parts.Equipment to be used:*Various Style Lathes (no CNC) *Morrison Key Cutter *Radial Drill Press *Surface Grinder *Slitter Blade Grinder *Milling Machines *Climax Portable Key Cutter *Climax portable Flange Facer *Climax Portable Boring Bar *Climax Journal Squirrel Following blueprints and other documents to adhere specifications Maintaining industrial machines Applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures Working any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed Assisting in the work of other trades, such as but not limited to: millwrighting, pipefitting, machining, etc. The Experience You Will Bring Requirements: Minimum of two (2) year of experience with the use of lathes, milling machines, drills , and grinders to fabricate metal parts to precise specifications. This position is an opportunity for a motivated hard-working individual to learn and advance their knowledge of the paper making process.
