Machine Shop | Machinist - 1st Shift

WHERE YOU WILL WORK This is an onsite position, working at our Ocala, Florida manufacturing and distribution facility.SCHEDULE7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. | Monday - Friday (Overtime when needed)WHAT YOU WILL DO Machinist sets up and operate a variety of computer-controlled and mechanically controlled equipment to produce precision metal parts, instruments, and tools.Fabricates new machine parts to required dimensions and tolerances using manual or CNC milling machines, lathes, and or surface grinders.Reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand specifications and tolerances.Setting up and operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.Selecting the appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.Measuring and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and precise measurements.Adjusting machine settings to control speed, feed, and other variables.Troubleshooting issues with machinery and making necessary repairs or adjustments.Participate in rebuilding/building functions of equipment.Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including routine machine maintenance.Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other team members to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.Continuously learning and staying updated on advancements in machining technology and techniques.Ability to work in a team environment & maintain regular attendance.Must be able to work overtime as business need dictates.REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalentMachinist Apprenticeship Certification3+ Years of Machinist ExperienceBlueprint reading experience.Metalworking and CAD/CAM read engineering drawings.Skilled with variety of welding and cutting tools.Programming and function of CNC machines.PHYSICAL DEMANDSPhysical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Machine Operator

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of machinery and a strong understanding of project development process. This role is essential in ensuring development efficiency from site work to final grading while adhering to safety standards and operational guidelines. Duties • Operate and monitor machinery, Skid Steer, Roller, and Excavators. • Perform setup and adjustments on machines as needed to ensure optimal performance. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand specifications for building plans and development. • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality control. • Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working condition. • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment within the warehouse as well as job sites. • Engage in basic math calculations for measurements and material requirements. • Participate in quality control processes to ensure jobs meet required standards. • Assist in fabrication tasks using hand tools and welding equipment when necessary. (Not Required but a plus) Qualifications • Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is preferred but not required. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. • Experience with tooling, assembly, machining, and materials handling is desirable. • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Machine Operator I USMACOP1

Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Will complete appropriate paperwork when needed including necessary checklist • Receive verbal or written instructions from the Supervisor • Operate the appropriate machine by installing and removing tooling, sizing and/or running a winding process, setting concentricity and installing proper reinforcement, etc. • Assist in line start up, monitor all extruder controls during production and maintain feed stock continuously • Handle hose production process and constantly inspect hose for defects • Assist in any other area on line start up as needed and also in line shutdown.
