Position Summary: As our CNC Machinist, you will be a part of a growing, fun and diverse team specializing in manufacturing small parts for the connector industry. Candidates will conduct actions associated with the rapid and accurate design and manufacturing of tooling, fixtures and precision-machined components. Position requires advanced knowledge of solid modeling, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), current manufacturing technologies and best practices, production methods and procedures, and parametric (macro) programming of multi-axis CNC turning and machining centers. Candidates must be alert, punctual, reliable, results-driven and capable of delivering in-spec products on time. Responsibilities: • Responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient programming of multi-axis MAZAK CNC turning, Mill/Turn and multi-axis machining centers including INTEGREX 200 with sub-spindle/lower turret, VCN-510 vertical mills with A-axis rotary tables, Mazak Horizontal mills with live B axis, Fanuc Robotics, Fanuc RoboDrills, Haas VF series • Proficient with MasterCam, CamWorks, Fusion 360 or other programming software is a MUST (A candidate highly skilled in the efficient use of an alternate programming software similar to MasterCam such as CamWorks, GibbsCam, etc. may be considered). SolidWorks proficiency is a MUST • Proficient with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) • Proficient with Metrology (CMM, in-line gaging, surface plate, air gaging, etc.), and GD&T application • Analyze work-holding requirements and develop component process plans with minimum number of setups • Develop the methods, operational sequences, equipment, layout and tooling for the precision machining of components produced from raw stock, forgings, castings and MIM • Assure clearances between machine spindles, tool holders, parts and fixtures • Load programs. Analyze MAZATROL and G-code programs, adjust speeds, feeds, tooling and operating sequences as needed • Evaluate and improve manufacturing and work-holding methods for CNC operations • Develop CNC methods, process prints and writes operator plans, describing in detail the methods established • Develop time standards and assists in monitoring and improving efficiency of current production • Assists in department layout and facilities planning • Assists in creating cost savings and participates in continuous improvement activities • Assists with both short and long term planning activities • Assist in current and future capital tooling justifications. This is a "hands on" position and the ideal candidates are alert, punctual, organized and results-driven team players with exceptional mechanical aptitude and extensive machine shop knowledge. Qualifications: • US Citizen, or a documented non-citizen (hablamos Español) with a valid work visa • No criminal history • High School Diploma or G.E.D. • Direct experience programming multi-axis, CNC vertical and horizontal machining and turning centers.
