CNC Setup Machinist

SEI Technologies has an couple of exciting opportunity for a CNC Setup Machinist to join our team in our Concord, NC location. The candidate should: • Select and install tooling according to specifications and operation. • Extensive use of blueprints, process plans, program sheets, holding fixture location diagrams, etc. to set-up and prepare machine for operation. • Use precision measuring instruments to setup machine and check machined items. • Make programming or tooling adjustments. • Load work program. • Load and unload parts in machine • Run jobs and obtain first piece approval. • Have experience machining tight tolerance, high-value components. • Have extensive experience with Okuma, Fanuc, and other CNC controls. • Have excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate across multiple disciplines with internal and external customers. • Be willing and able to perform other tasks as directed by Supervision/Management including but not limited to assisting non-production plant and administrative tasks. Preferred: • Experience with nickel-based stainless-steel alloys, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, Hast-X and inconel. • Experience in Aerospace and Defense products and materials. • Outside processing knowledge (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.) • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware. • Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities.
