Position Summary: The CNC Machining Center is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC drilling machines to manufacture precision components for bearings. This role involves setting up, programming, and monitoring CNC machining centers to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to quality standards. The operator will inspect parts, troubleshoot machine issues, and perform routine maintenance to optimize production performance. This position requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Job Responsibilities: • Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine product dimensions, tolerances, operation sequences, and setup requirements. • Select, position, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines, including mills, lathes, jog borers, grinders, and shapers. • Calculate and adjust machining parameters such as speed, feed rate, coolant flow, and cutting depth/angle, or input commands to retrieve, modify, or edit CNC programs. • Perform programming adjustments as needed (less than 50% of the time). • Verify the availability of necessary components (rolls, pins, cones, etc.) before starting production. • Initiate and monitor machine operations, identifying and correcting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions by adjusting controls as necessary. • Conduct first-part inspections to ensure adherence to specifications. • Measure all pockets, notches, counterbores, and grooves of finished components for accuracy. • Operates machine daily producing a productive, quality product as quickly and efficiently as possible while maintaining safety requirements. • Properly follows all ISO guidelines and computer system functions. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment. Ensure machines are free of metal shavings and debris. • Follow all safety protocols and company policies, including wearing required safety glasses and steel-toed shoes on the production floor. • Perform other duties as assigned.
