Job Description: Metal Masters Inc. is searching for a Machinist to operate a variety of machines in the machine shop division. You will use accurate measurements to produce and/or repair parts with mindfulness of the craftmanship. Job Responsibilities: • Review samples, drawings, and/or instructions to understand specifications of output • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping • Select appropriate machines (e.g., lathes) and position or load material for a job • Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues • Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages Job Requirements and Skills: • Experience as machinist in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, mills, etc.) • Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers) to take accurate measurements • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals • Good at math with analytical abilities • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to fifty (50) pounds. • Adhere to safety standards (Policies, OSHA, etc.) and maintains a clean work area • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training will be an asset • Must be able to adapt, adjust spontaneously, improvise, etc. in a short timeframe • Mig welding and use of acetylene torch is a plus • Must be able to work well with others with a positive attitude Hourly rate range: $20 - $30 Job Type: Full-time Pay: $41,600.00 - $62,400.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
