Assembly Machine Operator

Job Title: Assembly – Machine Operator Reports to: Plant Manager Department: Production JOB SUMMARY: Operates power presses, spot welders, special machines, or performs other duties to assemble metal products by forging, stamping, crimping, shaping, grinding, locking, staking or any other means necessary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Completes the required paperwork for safety, quality, and production. Properly aligns parts between dies, in molds, or in the fixtures on the machine. Operates controls on the machine. Gages and inspect parts produced to assure that the product meets the quality requirements. Packaging or/and labeling product to meet requirements. Stacking and/or sorting metal parts for next operation. Complete required tasks per customer requirements. Maintain the workplace in a safe and orderly manner daily by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of scrap properly. Recommends methods of improvement and elimination of wasteful practices. Maintains the work area in a manner that promotes safety, quality, and productivity. Follows all company policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to read, comprehend, and complete simple instructions and forms.
