What you’ll do • Machine and inspect parts and tooling from detailed blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions. • Run mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores, and VTLs; complete precise setups and light repairs. • Use algebra, geometry, and shop math to calculate offsets, clearances, and fits. • Measure with micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, and surface gauges to hold specification. • Keep your area organized and hazard‑free while meeting quality and throughput targets. What you bring • Trade school/community college credential; or 2+ years related experience/training; or equivalent background. • Ability to read/interpret technical procedures plus company, customer, and governmental specs and regulations. • Hands‑on familiarity with Okuma, Hyundai, Bullard VTL, and Fanuc controls (or similar). • Strong communicator who can present information and field questions from managers and peers. • Knowledge of bearing‑related manufacturing/repair, cutting fluids, finishes, tolerances, turning, drilling, milling, and abrasive processes. • Understanding of steels, nonferrous metals, and common alloys. • Confidence reading complex technical drawings. • Manual machining proficiency is required; military experience is a plus.
