CNC Machinist Benefits • 4-day workweek (Monday-Thursday, 4 PM to 2 AM) • As a fourth-generation, family-run business, we offer job security and growth opportunities in a company with decades of success. • Competitive Wages, excellent benefit package, including quarterly bonuses and generous contribution to 401K • PTO, 8 Paid Holidays CNC Machinist Responsibilities • Set up, troubleshoot, and operate multi-spindle, bar-fed mill-turn CNC lathes to ensure the production of precision parts according to strict specifications. • Conduct routine maintenance checks before each shift, ensuring oil, lubricants, and coolant levels are adequate, and perform warm-up cycles to maintain optimal machine performance. • Perform first article inspections, document part dimensions for compliance with quality standards, and use micrometers, calipers, and other tools to verify part specifications. CNC Machinist Requirements • Strong skills in reading and writing M & G codes, with experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and making adjustments as needed. • Ability to consistently produce parts within specifications, ensuring quality using various measurement instruments, and conducting first article inspections. • Must have experience working with twin spindle machines • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, possess strong problem-solving skills, and work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. See More Details >>• * This is a 1st shift role: M-F, 6am-2:30pm The CNC Machinist sets-up and operates CNC and manual equipment following standard machining methods and procedures; produces parts to production and quality standards; documents machining and general machining processes in the form of standard operating procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Program, set-up and operate all CNC lathe / VMC machining centers, manual machines (lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines etc.) and measuring equipment to produce quality parts within deadlines • Converts designs and drawings into code programming language for CNC equipment. Validates programs to established specifications. • Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined, sequence of operations and machines needed by studying specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, damaged parts or descriptions of parts. • Inspects parts, tooling, and material to specifications. • Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in safe, clean and satisfactory operating condition. • Monitors work to ensure that machine is functioning properly. • Works from draft drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts as well as for tooling or prototype equipment. • Identify production standards for set-up and machine times EXPERIENCE • Minimum of 5 years machining experience including ability to set-up / operate preferred. Strong knowledge of machining, machining practices, tooling, drafting, CNC machines, controls, programming, measuring equipment and techniques. • Ability to program CNC lathes and VMC machines • Ability to troubleshoot CNC operating/programming issues. • Demonstrated verbal and written communication as well as mid-level math skills. • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail. • AA degree in Machining / Mechanical Technology, equivalent trade school / military training, or comparable related experience preferred.
