Machine Operator Summary • As a Machine Operator you are responsible for the efficiency and output of work orders assigned to the machine. In addition, machine operators are responsible for meeting or exceeding expectations throughout packaging and quality processes as outlined for each customer order based on specifications. Functions/Responsibilities • Conduct, behavior and actions in accordance with Oxco core values of Caring, Creativity, Determination, Dependability and Teamwork • Quality control- serve as a material inspector to assure that all quality standards have been met • Process orders-responsible for understanding and processing of customer specific details listed on the work order such as: • Length • Width • Core size and core attachment • Splices/Splice type if any • OD Parameters • Other special customer requirements as indicated on the comment section while operating within standard operating procedures • Setting up machines to start a production cycle in the proper manner • Package material based on specification outlines on Work Order such as: • Wrapping • Pallet Size and Type • Quantity and Orientation • Efficiency- work in the most productive and efficient manner while maintaining safe operating practices and quality workmanship • Use systems and/or paperwork for accurate recording of time, consumption, output, and quality notes as required • Raise any issues or concerns that arise during day-to-day work to the Supervisor, Plant Manager or President Qualifications Education: High School or GED Experience: 1 year of experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment preferred Skills • High attention to detail – accuracy in entering data and in communicating information with others; ability to see errors and identify inconsistencies • Collaboration – Work effectively with other personnel to achieve established outcomes and resolve issues • Dependability - consistent attendance is required and rewarded Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods. Must be able to reach, push and pull 30 pounds and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Must be able to communicate with others and complete ISO documentation accurately. Position Summary: The Press II Machine Operator is responsible for operating a 4-mold press machine, monitoring the molding process, and ensuring product quality meets production expectations.
