CNC Machinist III

We are passionate about your career Vot is immediately hiring a skilled Advanced CNC Machinist in Carlsbad, Ca. As a CNC Machinist you will: • Perform assigned tasks in accordance with MEI policies and procedures. • Inspect parts for quality and compliance with specifications. • Plan jobs and prepare materials and work processes accordingly. • Execute benchwork and layout activities with precision. • Set up and operate milling processes. • Set up and operate turning processes. • Grind parts, components, and surfaces as required. • Troubleshoot issues related to processes and part quality. • Edit CNC programming setup sheets, including making necessary adjustments, corrections, and suggesting improvements. • Accurately document all work operations in the ERP system, including: • Job and operation details • Time tracking • Conformance status • Written comments to clarify or support transactions • Create Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) when needed, properly identifying the issue, root cause, and labeling the part. • Collaborate with Process Engineering to: • Establish job time standards • Develop new production processes for New Product Introduction (NPI) • Support continuous improvement initiatives • Perform housekeeping, preventive maintenance, and cleaning tasks each shift. • Maintain a safe work environment by following all established safety procedures and best practices. • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies at all times during business operations. Thjis is a full-time opportunity The ideal candidate will have: • * Minimum of 7+ years of related experience, including at least 5 years as a machinist • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered • Communication Skills: • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions, written directions, and task lists • Capable of effectively communicating with team members • Participation in team meetings and required training sessions • Mathematical Proficiency: • Advanced math skills, including college-level algebra, geometry, and some trigonometry • Technical Skills: • Advanced measurement and inspection capabilities • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and standards • Able to interpret and document quality control (QC) standards during operations • Strong understanding of tooling capabilities and tolerances • Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of machining equipment • Skilled in responding quickly and effectively to non-conforming operations • Demonstrated ability to produce precision parts within tight tolerances • Capable of accurately measuring, cutting, and machining with a high degree of accuracy Pay Rate: $38.00-43.00 per hour • Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
