Conventional Machinist

Manufacturing company looking for top notch Journeyman type CONVENTIONAL/MANUAL machinist. Extensive lathe experience preferred. Please be ready to "hit the ground running". If you've not been working in the machining industry recently, this would not be a good fit. • **Please read specifics before applying*** Must be self starter, proficient in reading drawings and blue prints, excellent attention to detail, as well as capable of following stringent directions. We are a job shop, and tend to be required to provide a quick turnaround for our customers. May include full manufacture, quick modifications, and simple to complex repairs. Must be VERY experienced in manual machining, especially lathe. You will be working with carbon steels, aluminum, stainless, bronze, etc. Parts can be as small as 1/4" diameter, but more commonly upwards of 2"-40" diameter. Must have own machinist tools. Tool & Die experience is extremely helpful. Position requires use of conventional lathes , mills, band saws, surface grinding, drill presses, hydraulic presses, etc. As it is a fast paced job shop type environment, you should be able to think on the fly, and work with all different personalities throughout the day. Must be able to take direction when necessary, and must be able to work unassisted as well. MINIMUM 3-5 years experience required. Benefits available after probationary period. Wages commensurate on experience. Journeyman Machinist

This position is lcoated in Winnemucca, NV Position Overview: We seek a skilled and reliable Machinist to join our job shop team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machinery to produce precision parts according to customer specifications and engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A relocation package is available for those with the knowledge and experience to work immediately. ​​​​Key Responsibilities: • Set up and operated CNC and manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.). • Read and interpreted blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. • Measure and inspect parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using various measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.). • Ensure the safe operation of machinery and adhere to safety protocols and regulations. • Maintain machines by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting. • Communicate with engineers and supervisors to understand project requirements. • Follow quality control standards and make adjustments as necessary to meet tolerances. • Maintain an organized and clean work area. • Work with minimal supervision and collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines. • Perform other related duties as assigned. • Small Shop environment with a variety of work and immense. We are looking for a machinist that can read a micrometer and setup a dial bore gauge. Cleanliness & tidiness is a must!! If you are familiar with running a cylinder boring bar, cylinder hone, and rebuilding cylinder heads with cylinder head rebuilding equipment please give us a call.
