About the position Responsibilities • Safely operate computerized and manual process systems to efficiently produce high quality and safe products. • Assist in other departments or perform other duties as requested by management. • Comply with safety work rules at all times and reinforce safety as a core value. • Follow all policies, procedures, and activities related to Food Safety & Quality. • Inspect and sort eggs to ensure the best quality product is packaged. • Confirm and verify weight of product and ensure labels and product dates are correct. • Maintain and operate all equipment in a safe manner. • Report all Food Safety & Quality issues to a Supervisor, QA Manager, or Senior Manager. • Minimize product loss and keep work area neat, clean, and sanitary. • Use appropriate safety equipment when required. • Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Experience operating a manufacturing machine. • Self-motivated and willing to ask questions and seek direction. • Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work effectively with others. • Ability to work independently or in a team environment. • Ability to work around required cleaning solutions. Nice-to-haves • Good hand-eye coordination. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs. • Ability to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty, and humid environments. • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for most of the shift, ascend and descend stairs, bend, stoop or crouch, grasp and reach.
