Qualifications Minimum 5 years' work experience as a Conventional Machinist Must be able to perform machining duties in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner. Must have experience with lathes, Vertical Turret Lathes and Radial Arm Drill presses. Must be able to read and interpret precision measuring equipment to a high degree of accuracy Must be able to read, understand and follow blueprints to completion of the machining process Must be able to measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers Must be able to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut Must be able to start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as required Must be able to verify the conformance of finished workpieces to the required specifications Must be open and willing to perform duties, not previously listed, to complete assigned tasks Must be responsible, reliable, and punctual Work hours as assigned & Overtime Performs all other duties as assigned Basic Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language Skill in detail-oriented work Demonstrate effective communication skills Physical Requirements This is a hands-on manufacturing role.
