Job Posting – Machinist The Machinist is responsible for the successful operation of machines to produce quality parts for our Polaris products. In this role, you’ll use a variety of tools, mechanical instruments and techniques. If you are mechinally and technically inclined and pay close attention to details, then this is the role for you. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including but not limited to manual lathes, mills, and drill presses, to produce precision parts and instruments • Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments • Read engineering blueprints, and measuring devices such as caliper, micrometer, and other gauges used in machining • Focus on continuous improvement, actingas an agent of change on the shop floor by influencing peers • Apply knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures to fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines • Troubleshoot and adjust to build a quality product • Perform tooling and programming prove-outs with manufacturing engineering EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent + Technical degree + 2 or more years of machinist experience • 5 or more years machinist experience + machinist certificate preferred • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Requires standing 90% of shift minimum • Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting with arms extended • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. The average part weighs 5 - 15 lbs. • Requires good manual dexterity ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES: • Hearing and vision protection required in all areas • Safety shoes required in all areas • Exposure to oil, grease, dust, metal particles, sparks, sharp-edged materials SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: • Exposed to hazards/risks that require body protection (gloves, pants, steel toes, sleeves, safety glasses, etc.) The starting pay range for California is $21.15 to $27.88 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime. Individual pay and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range. To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing. CNC Lathe Machinist

Requirements • Lathe experience required (Swiss and conventional) • Must know G and M code • Must be able to complete a part from print to finish including: • Interpret drawings to create an efficient and accurate way to machine a part • Instruct machines to cut mill drill etc. through written code or using software • Tooling and setup for machines, operation, and first piece inspection. • Skill with various precise measuring equipment • Knowledgeable working with various raw materials ranging from 15-5 heat treated steel, nickle alloy, and specialty plastics • General understanding of metal treatment processes to maintain requirements including but not limited to: passivation, plating, and annealing • Bonus • If you specialize in optimum burr minimization reducing or eliminating them altogether in the machining process given the application • If you have experience in planning and routing in a high volume environment • Quoting and pricing experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Health insurance • Paid time off • Relocation assistance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
