Position Summary: The Level 1 Machinist operates 2-5 axis CNC lathe machines, which requires machine setup including preparing and setting up fixtures and cutting tools, loading and adjusting CNC programs and offsets, performing inspections and basic preventative machine maintenance such as coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness. Competencies include the ability to use more advanced quality inspection tools and techniques. Must be able to read prints and have experience with common CNC G and M codes. This position may support 1st shift (4:15am - 12:45pm, M - F), 2nd shift (12:15pm - 8:45pm, M - F), 3rd shift (8:15pm - 4:45am, Su - Th) operations, or a split shift depending on business needs. The selected individual will train on 1st shift for approximately 3 months, or until able to demonstrate an ability to perform the job with minimal intervention.
