We are seeking a Machinist to become an integral part of our team! This position is located in Apple Valley Ca Tube Bending Technology, LLC has been serving the aerospace and commercial industries for over 50 years. With roots in the Apollo space program, it is considered the premier tube bending shop in the region. Tube Bending Technology, LLC. is ISO 9001 and AS9100 Registered and Nadcap certified. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for machine set up and operation of 3, 4 and 5 axis machines, knowledgeable in various skills techniques associated with both conventional and CNC machining. Must be able to interpret drawings and inspect parts to drawing using various inspection instruments (including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gauge, comparator, pin gauges, etc.). Be able to read and work according to blueprints, work orders, verbal instructions and the various requirements set forth by TBT and its Quality Management System. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Machine set up and operation with limited management oversight using conventional mills and lathes 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes and other standard support equipment. 2. Understand blueprints, part configuration and routing instructions. 3. Responsible for limited schedule management. 4. Aid in developing project-related work instructions. 5. Meet goals and objectives in a timely manner. 6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. 7. Follow procedures and use common sense to maintain a safe working environment. 8. Arrive to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled. 9. Perform other tasks as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS Manufacturing environment: may be exposed to loud noises, unique smells, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts and other dangers associated with manufacturing (cutting, deburring, etc.). TBI has safety equipment and safety standards in place to help maintain a safe work environment. WORKING HOURS Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Overtime maybe required on an as needed basis. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Lifting up to 50-75lbs occasionally, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.
