Our machine shop specializes in custom gears, machined parts, and assemblies for various industries, including aerospace, defense, medical, commercial oil, power, and automotive. Responsibilities • Read blueprints and check part dimensions with appropriate measuring instruments. • Accurately use measuring tools and understand necessary company procedures relevant to the position. • Perform in-process inspection of machined parts. • Collaborate with the Supervisor and Quality Department to ensure parts meet customer specifications. Essential Skills • Proficiency with CNC Okuma's; LT300MY, LB3000, and L250. • Experience with aerospace parts and inspection tools/methods with tolerances up to .0005''. • Excellent communication skills and proven problem-solving abilities. • 2+ years' experience in a precision machining environment (Operator) or a minimum of 5 years (Setup). SHIFT Evening Shift POSITION OVERVIEW The CNC Machinist I role is vital for our medical device production line, operating and performing basic setups on CNC 2 and 3 Axis machines. This involves identifying X, Y, Z, and 0 coordinates while managing multiple CNC machines such as Lathes, EDM Wire, and Plunge machines. This role also includes operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products under moderate supervision. Previous experience in CNC Machining within a manufacturing environment is required.
