Machine Operator GT Ventures, LLC is an e-commerce furniture manufacturer in North Las Vegas, Nevada. We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will operate, maintain, and attend to a semi-automatic production line while ensuring safety, high quality and expected output. The candidate should be able to work independently with minimal direction, daily. Duties and Responsibilities • Meet with supervisor for daily goals and briefings • Operate equipment in a safe manner to meet production requirements and minimize waste • Follow standardized procedures for machine start up and shut down • Maintain proper fluid levels in required machines • Verify that all raw materials are correct and meet quality standards • Ensure machines are always loaded with sufficient raw materials • Attend to and troubleshoot machine functions to ensure maximum machine run time and maximum output • Complete required machine adjustments with the approval of a supervisor or independently as needed • Quickly and accurately resolve work stoppages • Conduct tooling inspections and change outs • Inspect machined parts for adherence to quality guidelines using visual inspection techniques and measurement equipment • Record data related to production output, scrap rates, and periodic in-process and scheduled material inspections • Complete daily production and equipment reports Experience and Education • High School diploma or GED • At least 18 years of age • Basic math skills and mechanical abilities • Able to pass a drug screening before hiring and randomly throughout employment • Some computer experience preferred, basic Microsoft Excel • Able to proficiently read, write and speak in English • Previous experience with drilling, tapping and machine work is preferred • Previous experience with metrology is preferred Physical Requirements • Exposure to the heat in summer • Exposure to machinery and noise • Regularly lift and/or move objects between 10-50 lbs. • Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 80 lbs. • Good Dexterity • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance Work Environment This position works inside an indoor, non-air-conditioned warehouse, with evaporative coolers. Temperatures are between 50 degrees F. and 85 degrees F depending on the season.
