We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team at Mid-Atlantic Heating & Air Conditioning, a leading HVAC service provider on Delmarva. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing residential and commercial HVAC systems with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, a valid journeyman license and a commitment to safety and customer service. Duties • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs to restore system functionality • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job layouts to ensure accurate installations • Communicate with customers to explain service procedures and provide maintenance recommendations • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and company policies • Supervise and mentor apprentices or helpers as needed • Maintain accurate service records and complete necessary documentation • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service requests as needed Skills • Valid HVAC Journeyman license or equivalent certification (as required by local/state regulations) • Minimum 4 years of HVAC experience • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Familiarity with EPA refrigerant handling regulations and procedures • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a variety of environments and weather conditions This HVAC Journeyman position is ideal for a technician who takes pride in their work and is ready to take the next step in their HVAC career with a growing, respected company.
