The role of an HVAC Install Technician is to deliver exceptional HVAC Installations for residential heating and air conditioning systems and to ensure all work is performed correctly and is reflective of Hutton’s values. Job Responsibilities: Ability to perform all HVAC replacements to code Ability to solder and perform necessary electrical work associated with the HVAC project Must be capable of performing a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection and communicating findings to the client. Ability to perform calculations necessary for HVAC work as well as calculations necessary for invoicing purposes Must know and adhere to all state HVAC code. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of verifiable work experience in the HVAC industry. Knowledge of the fundamental operational functionality of residential air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment. Able to troubleshoot problems with refrigerant, electrical, and duct systems on HVAC equipment. Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS. Interact with customer by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call. Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audience. • Communicate potential sales opportunities to the sales staff through the technician tip quote process. Identify and quote opportunities for minor repairs directly to the customer. • Responsible for the mentorship of service technician levels I and II, and hands-on training of CAT I, II, and III equipment. • Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, product quality reports (PQR), and articles as required. • Basic data entry and ability to navigate the use of email, internet, word processing programs.
