See More Details >>Job Purpose The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across assigned facilities. This high-level position independently handles a wide range of complex HVAC/R tasks, including diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring optimal system performance. The role also includes providing technical direction, on-the-job training, and supporting operational continuity by maintaining efficient work order management and equipment readiness. Essential Functions Technical HVAC/R Service & Repair • Install, maintain, and repair ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment. • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC/R systems. • Clean, adjust, and repair HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance. • Perform refrigeration equipment repairs and conduct preventative maintenance. • Ensure all repairs comply with EPA regulations and safety standards. • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to junior technicians as needed. Service Call Management • Independently plan and manage assigned service calls across multiple sites for efficient routing and time management. • Ensure all assigned work orders are clocked in/out properly, include accurate notes, and are closed out promptly. Collaboration & Outsourcing • Collaborate with the Helpdesk team and vendors per service channel trade ranking designations to outsource service requests to qualified providers when internal resolution is not possible, in assigned areas. Parts & Vehicle Readiness • Maintain appropriate levels of HVAC/R spare parts, tools, and supplies to support repair readiness. • Maintain a clean, organized, and service-ready vehicle that meets inspection requirements. Performance & Accountability • Achieve and exceed performance goals including resolution time, completed repairs, and first-time fix rate. Preferred • Technical certifications in HVAC, refrigeration, or related disciplines. • Prior experience in multi-site service roles. • Demonstrated initiative in ongoing professional development.
