HVAC Mechanic/Technician

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to join our team who will be responsible for interaction with all Aviation Logistics Center “ALC” divisions through direct contact with or through a liaison in providing essential repair and maintenance of various ALC buildings utilized for aircraft repair and in the manufacture and/or maintenance of aircraft support equipment. HVAC Mechanic Minimum Requirements: • 3+ years of related HVAC experience • Skilled in repairing and installing residential and commercial HVAC systems • Experience with industrial and domestic refrigeration and heating equipment • Knowledge of hot water and steam boilers of various sizes and types • Ability to operate HVAC tools and related equipment • Valid Class C Driver License • Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen • Ability to obtain and maintain federal badging and clearance for secure site access • Strong technical and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in reading technical diagrams HVAC Mechanic Responsibilities: • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and testing of HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC system malfunctions and failures • Clean, repair, and fabricate ductwork as required • Monitor system performance and report deficiencies or safety hazards • Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, pumps, and other mechanical equipment • Assist with electrical and plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and facilities operations • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and documentation • Respond to emergency service requests in a timely manner • Operate hand and power tools, lift equipment, and machinery safely for maintenance tasks • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and federal facility requirements • Conduct inventory management of HVAC parts, tools, and supplies • Support facility systems beyond HVAC, including basic carpentry, painting, and minor repairs as needed HVAC Mechanic Other Responsibilities: • Support special events, to include but not limited to, Change of Commands, Retirements, and Training. Under the direction of the Lead/Senior Electrician, HVAC Mechanic shall be responsible for assisting in these special events in all facets to make them successful. Inclusive of but not limited to, set-up, operation, and support of the Audio System for special events, set up and dismantling of tables, chairs and platforms, trash removal, walk-down of industrial areas for FOD material after the event has concluded. HVAC Mechanic Physical Requirements: • Ability to perform manual labor which requires standing or walking up to 85% of the time. • Ability to perform tasks that may involve climbing stairs or ladders, working on ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, and working in confined or constricted spaces. • Ability to lift and move objects more than fifty (50) pounds.
