The role ensures optimal performance of climate control systems to support production processes, employee comfort and equipment functionality. The technician must follow safety protocols, adhere to regulatory requirements, and work collaboratively with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and repair industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, heating ventilation units and air handler units • Troubleshoot and repair DX systems (Steam and electricity - control humidity for critical production assets) • Plan, train, and lead other HVAC technicians on plant industrial HVAC equipment • Understand, maintain, and monitor Metasys controls for all HVAC equipment and troubleshoot and respond to all alarms • Improve current HVAC infrastructure to allow better troubleshooting of equipment • Have capability to troubleshoot alarms and maintain Munters Units, Dehumidifers, 3x 1500 Chillers for the Chiller Plant • Plan and execute preventative maintenance for all process equipment as well as comfort cooling equipment utilizing BAAM • Respond to critical equipment emergency calls and lead JCI branch service technicians to the site for corrective action • Responsible for preventative maintenance parts including filters, belts, compressors, safety equipment and refrigeration removal equipment Minimum Qualifications • Technical certification or associate degree in HVAC/R or a related field • EPA 608 universal certification for handing refrigerants (or ability to obtain) • Experience in Industrial HVAC maintenance or commercial HVAC maintenance • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and in a team environment Nice to have: • Experience planning preventative maintenance activities • Experience with continuous improvement projects (Kaizen)
