HVAC TECHNICIAN I

FTE: 1.000000 (approx 40 hours a week) Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: This customer service orientated individual will perform skilled work in the installation, repair, maintenance, inspection, testing and operation of refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems, including associated air handling systems, Liebert systems, control devices (DDC, electric and pneumatic) and ancillary equipment, heating, ventilation, chilled water and hot water distribution systems, chillers, boilers. Specific work may include reading blue prints, code books, modifying ductwork, piping, control systems, diagnosing and resolving hot/cold calls, air and water balancing spaces and conducting vibration analysis on rotating equipment. Candidates must have the ability to system troubleshoot, problem-solve and work in a team environment. They must have ability to climb ladders, work in small and confined spaces, use various breathing apparatus with reasonable accommodation, and perform a moderate level of physical exertion. Applicants must be able to work set and/or rotating shifts and weekend work as required. Applicant may also be required to be on call. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of 1 year of HVAC maintenance and installation experience is required EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: Refrigerant Certification performed to meet EPA Type I, II, III, or universal technician requirements as referenced in 40 CFR part 82, subpart F WHEA mechanic certification is preferred. Technical Training Specialist - HVAC

We have an opportunity for a Technical Training Specialist to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will provide expert technical and operational training to Service Technicians as well as employees within Manitowoc Ice’s Factory Training Center. In addition to Factory Training, this person will also be the Instructor within Technical Videos, Virtual Training as well as assisting in development of the training material. At this advanced level, incumbents apply practical knowledge of the brand/product line obtained through advanced education and work experience. You will: • Assist in providing technical training to the field technicians on the product brand equipment for Service Techs, Service agencies, key customers, and internal technical support personnel. • Assist in Developing the training presentations for the assigned product lines ensuring that all manufactured equipment is addressed, as well as discontinued equipment, as required. • Assists in logistics of setting up and performing various training programs. • Provides technical assistance to internal and external customers via email, phone or onsite as needed. • Provides technical and operational training and service support for assigned product lines. • Assist and participate on New Product Development and other duties as directed by the supervisor/manager. • Responds to non-routine correspondence requests for service assistance from Service Techs, agencies, Sales, and customers. • Maintains accuracy of training materials for current production equipment and past production units, as needed. • Continues to expand mastery of the product line equipment, related service issues, and relevant tools. • Request and interpret test data, as needed to support New Product Development from a Service perspective to drive/write service diagnostics. Key Qualifications: • HVAC/R Trade School, Military or equivalent experience and/or a minimum of 7 years of previous experience in technical service, repair, maintenance, or related service support. • Refrigerant Handling EPA Certification is required. • Strong software applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Premier (Photoshop, Premier Pro, Audition, OBS or similar software etc.). • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Presentation and public speaking skills are needed to implement Level I, II, and III Technical Training. • Ability to participate/perform in video and voice project development. • In depth and advanced knowledge of assigned product line(s). • Work effectively with all levels of management and staff and internal/external service technicians. • Must be willing and able to travel 10-15% of the time. • Ability to use recording hardware, such as cameras, microphones, lighting, etc. Compensation: For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $61200 - $113600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
